Dear Liz ,
I hope/imagine your yoga retreat went wonderfully.
My big news is that I've taken a Bikram class for 25 of the last 27 days! It's been a great antidote to caring for my Mom. Im sure my form has improved, but my body continues to take its good time opening up and my knees still resisting locking! Anyway I feel great, and all my systems work better. Im sorry I can't keep this up as we head out for a week of camping and then a lot of moving around in the Bay Area....I'll attend classes when I can and you will surely see more of me starting in April.
Namaste,
Annabelle
Thank you for the amazing yoga retreat in Vermont
Liz and Sarah,
Wow! What a great weekend in Pittsfield. Thank you both so much for everything. Your classes and clinic were fantastic. I learned so much Saturday evening and can't wait to start incorporating what I learned into my practice. It was great to have a few classes back to back and experience what that is like, as I have never done that before.
Thank you also for the incredible food. Definitely a highlight of the weekend for me! The meditation with Anthony was wonderful and I can't wait to try a little bit of that in the mornings before my girls wake up.
I hope you both were OK with the early departure. I think I was just missing my girls a bit and ready to get home again. That was exactly what I needed though because as I walked through the front door, I felt so much more at ease compared to when I left. With two little ones, your fuse can run a little short sometimes, so I am learning that breaks can be very beneficial.
Anyway, thanks again for all you did and I hope I get to visit the farm and studio again sometime in the future.
Cheers!
Andrea
Hi Liz,
It's Kalene from yoga! I got this email from the bikramyogapittsfield page. I hope this gets to you!! I was wondering if it might be possible to know when you are teaching classes next so that I can get my boyfriend to come in!... but knowing him I know that he will really benefit from having his first Bikram class with you- you are so aware of the things that I know will be important for him to have a an encourgaing introduction as a very new beginner.
He's really tall and lean and is focusing on a way to stop smoking cigarettes (which he has smoked for a Really long time) but he's looking to start a practice that will help to center and balance him, I know that the heat and the sweating will help him to detox, and the practice will help him to meditate, center and focus!! I'm a huge advocate of Bikram and of your studio and being a new yogi I speak highly of your teaching!
the classes with you just dont compare, in the wisdom and presence that you offer your students! I feel a deep strength in my practice having started with you in the beginning, it has also been a strength of mine to go through my practice with the new teachers you have brought in- for their differences in teaching have forced me to focus and to strengthen my own practice! :) thank you thank you for all that you offer and I hope to see you soon! blessings
Kalene
Greetings from Montana
Liz,
Happy New Year Cotters! Still receiving Bikram Yoga Pittsfield emails et al and loving the enthusiasm and news. I read about the new deal you've offered VLS students and am so stoked for your studio and my fmr peers! Little do they know how much a consistent practice will add wellness to their mental, emotional, and physical lives.
In other news I am still practicing at Bikram Yoga Bozeman and reaping the never-ending benefits. My practice is daily, and I cannot thank you and Anthony enough for introducing and coaching consistent, technique-driven practice. Bikram and home practice has become the solid foundation for all things in my life, and such success is due in large part to your patience, enthusiasm, and guidance. A short aside: after three years of practice locust and fixed firm are finally improving and healing my lumbar and knees (just like you promised) while my rock climbing and skiing has never been at higher levels. Moreover, I require much less sleep and can function in all my pursuits with a clear head and endless energy. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I will leave you with my favorite aphorisms: "If you can, you must; what do you want - 90 minutes or 90 years of pain?"
Much positive energy from me to you, Anthony, and the kids!
Guy
